Dewey F. Bartlett, Jr.
Through his role as President of Keener Oil & Gas Company, Dewey F.
Bartlett, Jr., continues the family tradition of working in the oil and gas
business. After graduating in 1969 with a B.S. degree in Accounting from Regis
College in Denver, he went on in 1971 to receive an MBA degree in Finance
from SMU in Dallas. Dewey then worked in the oil fields for Halliburton Services
and spent two years as a Landman for Beard Oil Company. Dewey joined Keener
Oil Company (a prior Bartlett family business partnership) as a Landman and
Co-Managing Partner in 1979. In 1987 Dewey became Managing Partner of Keener
Oil Company. Keener Oil Company was dissolved in 1994, and in May of that
same year Dewey formed Keener Oil & Gas Company, an Oklahoma corporation.
During his professional career, Dewey has held leadership positions with the Independent Petroleum Association of America (Board Member), Tulsa Community College Foundation (Board Member), the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (Board Member), the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board (Chairman of the Board), the National Stripper Well Association (President), the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association (President and Board Member), the Tulsa Airport Authority (Board Member), the City Council for the City of Tulsa (Councilperson), the American Red Cross/Tulsa Chapter (Board Member and Chairman of the Board), the Frank Phillips Foundation-Woolaroc Museum Board (Trustee), University of Tulsa College of Business Administration (Executive Advisory Board Member), and the Grand River Dam Authority (Board of Directors). Dewey currently serves as Mayor of the City of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Becky J. Henshaw
Becky joined Keener Oil & Gas Company in 1985 as an accounting clerk, with duties including the administration of Keener’s payroll, joint interest billing, oil and gas income accounting, and accounts payable and receivable. In November of 2008 Becky became Keener’s Senior Accountant and Office Manager, with the new role of direct supervision of all of Keener’s daily financial and accounting functions.
Becky received a B.A. in Business Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1981, and has completed numerous courses over the years to enhance her skills in oil and gas accounting and management.
Dean James
Dean joined Keener Oil & Gas Company in 1993 as Field Superintendent. Dean’s duties include well-site operations and supervision. Prior to joining Keener, he had risen through the ranks with over 20 years of oil field experience at Barbour Energy Group. Today, Dean supervises about a dozen contract pumpers who handle the company’s wells in Creek, Payne, Noble, Seminole, Hughes, Grant and Logan counties.
Rick Haworth
Rick began his employment with Keener Oil & Gas Company in early 2008 as its new Field Foreman over Keener’s Noble, Payne and Logan County production units. Rick has been in the oil and gas business for more than 26 years. During that time, Rick has worked as a roustabout, driven trucks, served as General Manager for C & J Trucks, and served as Production Supervisor for Koby Oil Company. For a number of years Rick also ran his own business, Haworth Oilfield Service, providing field services to various oil and gas operators throughout Oklahoma.
Jamie Taylor Boyd
Jamie joined Keener Oil & Gas Company in 2006 to serve as Land Manager. Prior to joining Keener, Jamie spent 16 years with a Tulsa law firm practicing environmental law. Jamie received a B.A. in Marketing from Oklahoma State University in 1986 and received an MBA and a J.D. from the University of Tulsa in 1989.
Jamie has published a number of articles relating to the oil and gas industry, including “Environmental Issues Associated with the Management of Oil and Gas Assets Held in Trust or as Loan Security”, Environmental Issues and Solutions in Petroleum Exploration, Production and Refining: Proceedings fo the International Petroleum Environmental Conference, March, 1994 and “Do You Know Where Your Waste Oils Are?”, Pipeline & Gas Journal, January 1991. Jamie served a term as Chairman of the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Environmental Law Section and authored and/or co-authored various chapters of the Section’s 1997 Oklahoma Environmental Law Handbook. Jamie has also authored numerous continuing legal education articles, has spoken regarding real estate transactions issues and environmental law, and has participated in the planning of continuing legal education programs in Oklahoma and the surrounding states regarding environmental law.
J. Douglas La Garde
Doug joined Keener Oil & Gas Company in 2005 as a Consulting Geologist. Doug received his B.S. in Geology from LSU in 1975. His previous work experience has been with Dresser Atlas Offshore in Louisiana, Weatherford Lamb in Denver, CO, Gulf Oil Corporation in Hobbs, New Mexico and Mineral Wells, Texas, Deck Oil Company in Tulsa, OK and as a Consulting Geologist in the Tulsa, OK area. He has over 35 years experience in the industry. Doug’s duties with Keener are prospect generation, sales evaluation and lease evaluation.
Jodi M. Johnson
Jodi began her employment with Keener Oil & Gas Company in February 2004 as an Administrative Assistant to Dewey F. Bartlett, Jr. Along with keeping Dewey’s schedule in check, she also assists with the other departments in the company.
Jodi attended both Connors State College in Warner, OK and East Central University in Ada, OK.
Whitney Taylor
Whitney began her employment with Keener Oil & Gas Company in August 2007 as an Accounting Assistant. She is responsible for the Joint Interest Billing, accounts payable and receivable, and various other accounting duties. Whitney also assists with matters relating to Keener’s commercial real estate holdings. Whitney graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1994.
